2019 AHW Launch Events

Alliance for a Healthy Washington held two launch events in 2019 – in Bellingham and Seattle.

In Bellingham, we were honored to be co-hosted by Rep. Nicole Macri, Whatcom Councilmember Satpal Sidhu, Former Bellingham Mayor Tim Douglas, and Heather & James Erb. All in attendance were happy to enjoy the beautiful September weather on the rooftop of the historic Herald building.

The Seattle Launch in December brought special guests Rep. Nicole Macri, WA Commissioner of Public Lands Hilary Franz, and Pete Lamb of the Teamsters. Rep. Adam Smith of the 9th Congressional District planned to join us but was called back to Congress for an important hearing. He did, however, send a lovely letter to AHW about its important role in bringing voices together. The Wave rooftop overlooking CenturyLink Field was the perfect spot for this fun event on a cold rainy Seattle day.  A special thank you to Max Brown, Pete Lamb, David Hackney, and Tomas Guevara for your help in making the evening a huge success.

Our hope is to continue small launch events throughout the state until we are able to visit every region of Washington. The goal of these small events are for you to get to know us, our mission, and to find out how your organization, or businesses in your community, can become a member. If you are interested in hosting a launch event in your area, please contact us by email. We are happy to discuss.

Last but not least, a very BIG thank you to all of our donors thus far. Without your support, we could not continue to bring stakeholders our representatives may not otherwise hear from to the table.
